"Visual Quotations" Photographs by Richard Freeman
Safari! Summer 2000
While being driven around in a van is not exactly the same as five nights out on a trail and despite all the tourist hubub, it was quite thrilling. One image that got away was a mother jaguar with three cubs crossing right in front of our van. I did get the shots, but it was dusk, and they are dark.
I must confess that this was one time I wish I had a telephoto lens. All the images were taken with my Leica M-6 and 50mm 1.4 Leitz lens. Except the few B&W images, they were taken with my Olympus XAII.
