"Visual Quotations"
Photographs by Richard Freeman
The National Gallery of Art
During the summer of 2008 I was fortunate enough to have a summer internship working in the Gallery Archives of the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Luckily, photographs were allowed to be taken in the museum. Walking the galleries with my camera became my favorite thing to do (when I was on break, of course).
I must have done something right because at the end of the summer I was offered a Fellowship. So, I returned to Rochester, NY to finish my master's degree then came back to the Gallery in March 2009 for an 18 month stay as the Paul Mellon Fellow. Once again wandering the halls with my camera at my side, or in front of my photographic eye.
