Ozomotli, Kennedy Center Grounds, Washington, D.C., September 15, 2010

I first heard and saw Ozomotli as the headliner of the Chicago Old Town School of Music's Folk and Roots Festival in Chicago around 2005. They were the headline act Saturday night. I had never heard of them. Of all the years I had been at the festival, I had never seen it so crowded. This band came out and after a few numbers everyone from 3 year olds to folks in their 70s were dancing. It was awesome. Five years later they played a free show to celebrate Mexico's Independence day outside at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Since I was living in D.C. at the time, I couldn't miss it!
