Quotations from Nicaragua
The first set of images was taken over the summer of 2001. I spent most of the time on the island of Ometepe where one of my anthropology professors had a summer program (I was just there to hang out). I also spent some days in Granada, a lovely colonial town (which changed considerably when I returned in 2012). The next batch was taken in the summer of 2012 on a family vacation (12 of us in a van! (no one was harmed)) (my brother-in-law is Nicaraguan).
On another note, after two trips spanning 11 years, one thing for sure remains the same: the people of Nicaragua are among the warmest people I have met anywhere.
