Kayaking on the Ichetucknee

It was winter, February (2015) in north central Florida. A beautiful sunny and near 70 degree day. The Ichetucknee is a spring fed river. During the winter months the manatees swim up into the springs because the water is warmer than the ocean (a year round 72 degrees!). We were paddling leisurely, minding our own business, when suddenly Jenny and I found ourselves in the middle of a pool of manatees. It was quite an experience!
