Moosehead Lake - Casey's Campground

Our single biggest reason to be in Maine was to see a moose. Where better, we thought, than a place called "Moosehead Lake"? We camped at Casey's, a lovely campground. From there we drove and canoed to some popular moose sighting places. It was all very cool. And, boy, did we see moose! Apart from the moose shown in front of the campground sign, all the other photos of moose were not taken on Moosehead Lake, but on First West Branch Pond, which is off of Frenchtown Road just before you get to the settlement of Kokadjo.
