Acadia National Park
Besides the crowds, and so much driving around, I found much beauty in this park. It is a gorgeous shore full of rock outcrops, tide pools, animals, so much to enjoy. Even the little towns in the park were fun, great seafood, local breweries, homemade pies. What's not to like? We did not stay in the park, we set-up our tent in a lovely campground about an hour north called Mainayr, on an inlet of the ocean, with swinging tide changes, a convenient place for cruising up and down the Maine coast. The whale and light house images were taken from a tour that set sail from Bar Harbor.
